The Sound Behind the Music

A little about the journey so far

ENOCH — Full Artist Bio

ENOCH is a recording artist, storyteller, field performer, and creator of Golgotha Country—a genre blending country, Americana, gospel, spiritual testimony, history, spoken word, and cinematic storytelling.

At the center of ENOCH’s work is a simple idea: the ground remembers.

Rather than treating music as something created only inside a studio, ENOCH takes songs directly into the places connected to their stories. Battlefields, churches, beaches, piers, restaurants, historic sites, streets, and gathering places become part of the recording itself. Every location adds another chapter to an expanding musical autobiography built around faith, memory, history, family, and the search for meaning.

ENOCH’s catalog is released through Many Waters Records, under Every Tongue Music Group, and stretches across an interconnected body of albums, live sets, films, books, and digital worlds.

GOLGOTHA COUNTRY

ENOCH describes the sound as Golgotha Country.

Its musical roots reach into country storytelling, gospel testimony, blues, Americana, spirituals, cinematic soundscapes, and the tradition of turning lived experience into song. Scripture and history frequently intersect within the catalog, but the songs are also grounded in ordinary human encounters—conversations with strangers, fathers talking about life, bartenders sharing testimony, families walking historical ground, and unexpected moments of faith.

The result is music designed not simply to be heard, but to document a journey.

HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC

One of the defining elements of ENOCH is the History Through Music approach.

At Best Farm and the Monocacy landscape in Frederick, Maryland, ENOCH developed live work that engages the complicated history embedded in the land. Songs and performances explore memory, slavery, war, ancestry, faith, judgment, mercy, reconciliation, and what remains after generations have passed.

Projects from this period include ENOCH LIVE AT BEST FARM, performances with Sydney and $ALISE, and songs including The Goldstonian Paradox, The Ground Remembers, Lord, Have Mercy, Break the Chain, and Massa.

The intention is not to separate history from music. The location becomes part of the record.

PATMOS, BUSH RIVER AND THE BIBLICAL CATALOG

ENOCH’s work also extends into large-scale biblical projects.

ENOCH LIVE ON PATMOS interprets the Book of Revelation across a 21-track cycle, while projects inspired by Genesis and other biblical texts continue the larger catalog.

At Bush River, ENOCH developed another live chapter through projects including LIVE AT BUSH RIVER — SET I & II, connecting biblical imagery, Americana, experimentation, and field performance.

These projects form part of a much larger vision in which Scripture becomes music, music becomes visual storytelling, and the resulting work can move into books, film, education, and interactive worlds.

COUNTRY CALLING — OCEAN CITY

Ocean City, Maryland became another major chapter in the ENOCH story.

During Country Calling 2026, ENOCH carried the Resurrection Tour across the city, recording and documenting encounters at locations including the Oceanic Fishing Pier, The Angler, Barefoot Mailman, churches, restaurants, the beach, and other Ocean City locations.

Songs such as BIG JOHN emerged from real conversations—fatherhood, life, peace, faith, and the people encountered along the journey.

Other performances transformed ordinary locations into temporary stages for testimony, listening parties, live recordings, and storytelling.

For ENOCH, the city itself becomes the venue.

SYDNEY & $ALISE

Family and generational continuity are important parts of the project.

Sydney appears throughout the expanding ENOCH story as both participant and witness, connecting the history being explored today with the generation that will carry it forward.

$ALISE brings a powerful female gospel presence into the catalog, complementing ENOCH’s rugged country testimony with soaring vocals rooted in faith and emotion.

Together, these voices broaden ENOCH from an individual artist project into a developing musical narrative about generations, memory, and inheritance.

FROM THE RECORD TO THE WORLD

ENOCH’s work increasingly extends beyond traditional releases.

Through G Films, performances and locations become visual stories.

Through books including ENOCH: HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC — Faith, Memory, and Music in the Age of AI, the ideas behind the songs become part of a written archive.

And through ENOCH WORLD, locations, songs, biblical narratives, and historical experiences are being transformed into interactive environments where audiences can move through the stories rather than simply listen to them.

The philosophy is:

Every song can tell a story.
Every story can belong to a place.
Every place can become a world.

ENOCH

ENOCH is ultimately documenting a life in motion.

The catalog moves between sacred and ordinary spaces, past and present, history and testimony, physical locations and digital worlds.

A battlefield can become an album.

A conversation on a fishing pier can become a song.

A church can become a testimony.

A beach can become a stage.

A book can become a world.

And each new recording becomes another entry in an expanding autobiography carried through music.

Based out of the Pacific Northwest, this is music shaped by late nights, long drives, and a lot of time spent figuring things out. The sound sits somewhere between indie folk and alt-rock, with songs that tend to stick around after the first listen. A new record is in the works, and a run of shows is coming up this fall.

The early years were scrappy in the best way. Small venues, self-recorded demos, and a growing reputation built almost entirely by word of mouth. A few key releases changed the trajectory, earning spots on curated playlists and landing some well-timed support slots that opened things up considerably.

New music is coming soon. In the meantime, check out the latest tracks, grab a ticket to an upcoming show, or sign up to the mailing list to hear things first.
